Rādhā - A Billion Years And Burning

Rādhā - A Billion Years And Burning

Tripping on my threshold, Time stretched out its spectral fingers, and shrank, and finally
Shattered.
Splintered fragments scattered in places, the shards buried in my very own
Secret corner of mind, where I sit in solitude wrapped in a dreadful tongue of flame.
I cannot speak, I hear no one, my
Wide-open, unseeing eyes blurred over with oceans of unshed tears.

You abandoned me! You left my
Every vein and nerve scorching and freezing,

Weeping for Your touch;
That divine touch that lights a million candles, ignites all my senses!
For aeons past and centuries to come,
I sit here beneath Your favourite tamal tree, barely breathing, guarding the rotting corpse of our love;
Heart, head and womb warring at the very core of my
Being, I knew I could never call
You my own! (Ours is a warped passion, is it not?) And yet I know.
With every fibre of my body and mind, I have always known.

I am a part of You.

You, whom the whole world calls
The Alpha and the Omega,
The Being and the Nothingness,
Beyond all good and above all evil,
Creator of Time and its destroyer;
Within the unfathomable mysteries of Your own omniscience

You know it too.

I am the one You adorned with Your own hands!
Bedecked in terrible glory past compare,
I am the white heat blazing through the sacred grove of hidden treasures,
Our mystical tryst led the surreal dance
That consumed all the celestial spheres!
They say the love of the Dark One is a wound worse than death:
They lie.
A billion years of parting cannot wrest us asunder:
Even as I sprang from Your own hallowed being, You wanted me forever flying towards You.

So be it.
