Lost In Pages

The fragrance enters my olfactory,
Odour of the compendium shakes me fully,
For looking at it is alone satisfactory,
One look at it sends my mind woolly.
This little act makes me wander,
Not one word goes squander,
Through the pages, into the words;
And finally into another life I roam.
From this world to that, I fly like birds ;
Every word, every phrase slowly enters my dome;
A slueth, a vampire, a crook or a nerd-
Every character I have met,
But still I admit it is absurd.
ong> That my thirst for more is never quenched, The conflicts give me tears, The jests give me laughter, I react to all affairs; Waiting for what happened thereafter. And finally when I reach the end, An emptiness approaches me, Whatever the conflicts were have now mend, Now time has come to drown again- In the deep sea of another life. Time for more of it to attain- To lose myself in the soft music of fife!
