Prayer From A Broken Heart

I wish I could let you know,

My unrequited feelings; that I deeply sow.

I wish I could speak my heart,

And sing hymns in praise of you, a beautiful art.

But I fear, I pause, I brush aside and let my heart bleed,

As my past comes haunting back; with the ferocity of Assassin's creed.

My lips tremble in fear, as the ghost of darkness comes haunting,

My soul wishes to be free, but the path appears daunting.

So I just look at you with my helpless eyes,

And plead you stay untouched; as my turbulent time flies.

Wish one day to kneel before you, as time would stand and stare,

And wish to heal a broken heart forever, with your unrelenting love and care.
