Shortest being a two-liner couplet,

Enumerate to fourteen and rhyme a sonnet, 

Acrostic has an insight in its name as the letter first, 

Haiku quenches the nature's beauty and simplicity thirst,

Limerick urges to understand the underlying wit,

Free verse raises the eyebrows of its readers a bit,

Ballad enlightens with its moral lesson,

When words fall short of expression.
