People I Have Known

People I have known, 

Some are still the same, some have grown.

Some were kind, some were not

And some have been a jackpot.

Some thin, some fat,

Some lovers of dogs and some of cats.

Some dark, some fair,

Some had loads of thoughts to share.

Some stayed till the end, some chose to leave, 

They all had their reasons I believe.

Some became family, some became special, 

And some became superficial.

Some gave me their back in my worst,

Even when I burst.

Some broke my trust, some used me, 

And some gave me nicknames like ‘zee’

Some were insecure, some were possessive, 

Some who had fear of being called a dope, 

Still, they had to cope.

Some were weak from inside,

Some were strong,

Some were alone, and some acted like a clone.

Some whose memories are still with me.

All of them taught me something, 

Even if now they don’t call or ping.
