Our Hearts Be Clouds
Our Hearts Be Clouds
The shapes these clouds
Of mountains make
And the shapes the hearts
Of people in love
With me and I am in love with
Make,
Are similar.
But not as heavy
As my heart, these clouds
Are.
Context: I am on one of my walks in the small village called kandbari I live in, and lo! I spot hearts in the shapes of these clouds. Perhaps they really are, heart-shaped. Or perhaps my heavy heart has made them appear to be. I am in love with someone, and I am being loved at the same time, by someone else. And I am wandering in the mountains in search of an answer.
