An Ode To Library
An Ode To Library

The dog-eared ends of an endless
Heap of bemusing books from
Endless worlds, spaces, dreams,
And signs
Rejuvenate a rampant desire
In me to dance amongst them,
Alleys and alleys of Shakespeare’s
Keats’ Tagore’s Ghalib’s and Raja’s
Tempts me to leaf through them,
Make love
To them, alone, with passion,
Scourging alleys and alleys,
Ravaging every bit of parchment,
Catch every drift from flying me away,
Flying with every word reduced
To the mountains and oceans
And stories and dreams, stored
In an oft-neglected temple
Called library.
