Oh Mother

Oh Mother

1 min 205 1 min 205

Oh mother, oh mother

The time has come

I can no longer contain it

Everything is prepared

The night is upon us

Oh mother, oh mother

I'm no longer hiding

I'm no longer bound

I'm no longer sound

I'm no longer your sweet little boy

Oh mother, oh mother

I've reached the shores

The reaper's coast

And yet I can't shed a single tear

No matter how many needles I poke

Oh mother, oh mother

I'm weary, I'm tired

I've given up

Is this fate

Or was I just weak

Oh mother, oh mother

You were never there when I needed you

You could never really help even if you wanted

I'm just an aberration

An exception that needs rectifying

Everyone is free to choose

And so am I

And this is what I choose

Oh mother, oh mother

It's alright to cry

It'll all be over soon

And you'll soon forget

That I was once a part of you

Oh mother, oh mother

It's getting colder

My memories are fading

Breaths getting heavier

I can no longer see the stars

But I'm not scared anymore

Oh mother, oh mother

Every beginning has an end

Today the sun burns brightly

Lights the candles of life

But one day when it's time

It'll reap what it sowed

Till then

Au revoir,

mum
