Not So Far

The day is not so far,

When we would wake up, 

To the horns honking

Instead of the soothing chirps. 

The day is not so far, 

When our eyes would only see, 

Grey and steel and

Greenery remains only in pictures.

To forest fires and destruction

Instead of the cozy canopy. 

The day might be in circa 2050,

Or even tomorrow, 

When earth is coloured only in brown

Instead of the bright green and blue.
