No Escape
No Escape
Her tears grazed her skin.
an>
She laid under a blanket.
That was too thin,
Too cold,
Left her too vulnerable,
She aimlessly wondered,
Down any street.
With no destination,
With no desire,
But the want to escape.
The want to break out
of her mind.
That constricted her movements,
That kept her lips tightly pressed,
And left her mind racing.
Her body was stiff.
And her eyes dodging her thoughts
moving frantically side to side.
She sat and waited.
Waited for someone to see her screaming face,
Her pleading eyes,
But there was no way out.
She was trapped within her own mind
Her own limits.
Stuck as if in an egg,
Unable to break out new.
Stuck in a dark familiar place
With no purpose,
With no hope,
And with no escape.
