My Soul Died Long Ago
My Soul Died Long Ago
My soul still remembers that night
When filthy hands pinned me to the floor tight
I tried to fight them off with all my might
MY Soul still remembers that night
Four drunkards with unsound minds came to me
I could see in their eyes they wanted something
I yelled, cried, shouted for someone to help me
No one heard the plea
No one came
All I saw was a faint light and then the same
They saw me as an object and took their turns
I had no choice but to hide their burns
Then came the blanket to cover their sin
They wrapped me in and threw me into the bin
They cleaned the holy site and hurried off
In order to escape the morning light
My soul lay there and watched in horror
That the drunkards failed to realise something
The body on which they fed
Was long ago dead
