As the new year opens up new maps of opportunities so profound

I resolved to make people feel much better when I'm around

I will not be the one who

Will fill other's hearts with the darkness of gloom and sorrow

I would rather burn like a wick to turn on the lights for a better tomorrow

I won't be a cynical overthinker refusing to give others a chance

I would rather be the one to assist and relieve my near and dear ones

Like a bright spark, I want myself to spread out everywhere

I will rethink and rework until I make my decisions fair

I'll try not to talk of crashing hopes and drowning energy

I influence everyone around me with a powerful aura and brimming synergy

From a broken reed and broken home

I would rather love to be a backbone

Resolution is my solo song, a pinch of healing

I can unleash my strength and be a protective ceiling

A facsimile of inner peace, it serves as a healing balm

A resolution turns the temperamental turbulence into a snug of inner calm.
