My hibiscus plant

My hibiscus plant is just height,

But as there are ants its growing is my fright.

I've given it all its growing power,

But I have never seen a bud or a flower.

My grandma said it will grow as tall as my father,

But it's only one year old so why do I bother?

It's just been one year,

But I have not yet shed a tear!

I wish I had fertiliser,

Or else my hibiscus plant would've grown taller.

On the other side of the wall there is a big garden where I've seen a tall flowering plant,

Could you guess what plant it could be?
