My Heavenly Abode
My Heavenly Abode
I wandered alone in the woods,
To seek an answer for my varying moods,
The leaves rustled the squirrels nestled,
I rejoiced at my new found castle.
The overhung green of the trees,
Sent a signal to the earthly beings,
Of peace, love, affection and care
In a world that is devoid of any share.
The dancing glow of the sun,
Embarked its plaintiff run,
Upon the sparkling water,
Cascading into the realms of the quarter.
Speechless as I was, on seeing this beautiful sight,
I know not where I should entreat,
I hope to find my abode here,
Far away from mundane care.
Even as I repose in my dreary life,
I keep drifting from everyday strife,
To the heavenly sight
Of the woods.
