Monkey and Crows

Once upon a time, there was

A jungle full of verdure and sunshine.

Trees swayed with the wind blowing

Flowers were smiling, blossoming and glowing

Birds chirped and zoomed in and out of their nests hung

Honeybees hummed, danced over flowers and sung

There lived a group of crows on a coconut tree

Everywhere they went and flew carefree

Once came a monkey to fetch a coconut

Crows came from all sides to save their babies, but

The monkey would attack the baby, the crows thought

However, the monkey tried his way up and fought

Up and up the monkey went

More and more aggressive the crows became

Just as the monkey grabbed a coconut with a swirl

The crows flew down to hurl

The monkey ran, the crows chased

Thinking he stole a baby, they raced

He stopped near a tree and handed the coconut to the mummy

She started feeding her baby and it laughed on full tummy

Looking at this the crows felt shame

They realized their thoughts were so lame

They returned home with a heavy heart

Only to treat others well and make a new start
