Mirage of Oasis

No Indian should sleep hungry

Can’t provide jobs, hope they don't get angry.

Ration for 80 crore citizens for their subsistence

Is it reason enough to live, face their karma, may as well be nonexistent.

Poverty is a state of the mind of those in charge of governance.

Lacking in substantive ideas, inflicting a demographic indebtedness, insouciance.

Maintain subka poverty, but promise subka vikas, speak saffron lies

Masses silently suffering in this mother of democracy, a situation that belies.

In this myth ridden country leadership is but one great illusion,

They promise of Ram Rajya, a mirage of oasis on the parched desert, God delusion.
