New Life

It was a very cruel day for me.

I was playing with friends,

And he grabbed me.

He bit me and caught me in his canine,

But I was scared, feeling very feminine.

I didn't shout, or I couldn't,

Because he held me tightly.

Every person from the roadside houses

Was shouting and trying to freeze him,

But he didn't listen to anyone.

Still, what could I do?

Because I was just a small chicken.

When I was playing with friends,

Suddenly I was separated,

And I stood alone

On the side of the road.

Then he went into someone's backyard,

But the owner of the house

Threw a stone towards his nose.

He immediately let me go

And ran back, crying quickly.

Ten minutes later,

My owner came there and took me with fear.

My blood was overflowing,

And I fainted

Due to the seriousness of the situation,

In which I could only assume

That I would die

Or stay alive.

But when my owner picked me up,

I felt like I had gone to heaven.

For the sake of my new life...
