Mind Versus Heart

Your mind,

Is a wanderer

Adventurous and brave

Your Heart,

Is a child

Tender and naive

Your mind,

Is unreasonable

Cruel and unfair

Your heart,

Is fragile

Handle with care

Though so different, yet seldom apart,

Mind with its powers rules the heart

Nightmares and lies, it recites to the heart,

Which being simple, believes every part,

Then suffers and shrivels

And agonizes in pain

If unable to bear,

Often goes insane

If you wish to prevent it

From the very start,

Either leash the mind

Or fence the heart.
