Magical Desert

Arabian Nights paint a picture so romantic,

It makes you visualise music, lights and magic.

The desert stretches till the Earth meets the sky,

With sand making patterns in the winds high.

Through the hazy mist, a caravan is seen,

Graceful lines of camels dot the scene.

Packing the world of a bedouin on its back,

The ship of the desert carries its master in search of grazing lands. 

At nights, lighted by the full moon in clear skies,

The peaceful activity of the clan can absolutely mesmerise.

The colourful tents and their mystique add to the allure,

The hardy bedouin is the world’s earliest entrepreneur. 

Under the twinkling stars, he sits chewing his tobacco, 

After a hard day’s travel, the sparks of a hookah makes a warm glow.

With children, camel and goats lazing about,

He considers himself rich, of that there is no doubt!

The ladies of the clan layout thick carpets,

And after a hearty meal, the camp slowly settles down for the day in the moonlit darkness.

Not everyone is privileged to sleep under a bright milky dome,

That honour is reserved for only those who make Arabian nights their home!!
