He handed me a rose and later texted me a beautiful prose,
"Your soft skin resemble the petals,
I could feel and touch you till all my restlessness settles.
I could stare at your beauty,
And I hope you never find me petty.
I could hold you all my life with gentleness and care,
And would you believe me when I say to you that you're rare.
You too have flaws like thorns in a rose,
But then it's always been YOU whom I have chose.
There'll come a day when I'll no longer exist in this world,
You must visit my grave everyday with a rose in hand,
And sit for sometime and read to me my favorite couplets of poetry from my books that are placed on the mahogany stand.
I promise that you'll see me smile and I'll wait for you till the day comes when you'll be here by my side.
Do shed a tear or two whenever you think of me and feel my absence in your life.
I hope I'm not asking much cause that's how much I love thee,
And I hope you share the same feelings about me."
