Love Hate

Of all the emotions a person can feel,

Love is scariest and hardest to heal.

The unexplained feeling,

That leaves ones heart reeling

Promises of magic that's impossible to resist.

Which can make you or that can break you.

Love always does as love wants to do,

So to the emotion of love, I just want to say,

I'd much rather live with a broken heart,

Then live with a heart full of false hope.

I might not be happy, but at least I'm not sad,

Holding onto happiness that I never had,

Love's an impostor, a thief

That makes you giddy, like a child at play

Looking for that feeling every single day

It makes your eyes hazy

Which can make you carefree and lazy

Love traps your emotions and steers your fate.

That why it is the emotion that I truly hate.
