Lost Innocence
Lost Innocence
A crime despicable,
A deed deplorable,
Innocence, tarnished,
Beauty, famished.
Carnal desires too hold,
They took a step bold,
Not bold, but cowardice,
Less lust, more avarice.
Fueled by an inner demon,
They did this thing wanton,
That day even the God wept,
When this ugly creep had crept.
He touched her everywhere,
She was weeping, somewhere,
His hedonism unbounded,
Her plight, unfounded.
She prayed to God to save her,
But her pleas fell altogether,
Into unheard voices of silence,
The innocent child faced violence.
Pillagers of purity,
Demons of eternity,
She was left bruised in the cold,
That day she cursed her God.
She's grown up now,
A fine lady, but how,
Because she bears the scars,
And still weeps beneath the stars.
