Lost in the fog
Lost in the fog
In the wintry morn, amidst the haze's embrace,
I am lost, unable to see familiar sights or trace,
No trees, no roads, no friendly faces appear,
Lost in this fog, devoid of any means clear.
As I wander aimlessly, my purpose obscured,
Destination and destiny by misty veil obscured,
Even my own reflection, hidden from sight,
In this ethereal haze, I see naught but blight.
But a feeling of floating, of heavenly delight,
Transports me to dreamlike realms in this twilight,
Bathing in the fragrance of a rose-filled reverie,
Erasing sorrows, as love's bliss sets me free.
I hear the soft tinkling of your anklet's sound,
The melodic resonance of your bangles profound,
Sweetheart, where are you in this mystical haze?
I hear your beautiful song, sung in love's praise.
In your loving verses, I find solace and grace,
Enveloped in your embrace, a cherished place,
You wipe my tears, banishing my fear's embrace,
In your shadow, eternal tranquility I embrace.
For someone once said, "Love is truly grand,"
And in your gentle kiss, I understand,
But as the sun awakens, casting its golden glow,
Reality reemerges, stealing our love's show.
The fog dissipates, your form fades away,
Returning me to a world I must now face, nay,
Dreams have fulfilled their role in our story,
Now reality must tread its path, in all its glory.
