Looking Back

As I look back I see

What a wonderful journey it has been.

We walked together through ups and downs

We did have our share of laughs

We did have moments to frown.

Walking throughout we held each other

Through thick and thin

I saw you there beside me

Whatever it might have been.

Year after year we added something new

There were things we learned 

There were things we knew.

But no matter what came up for us

We handled everything with lov

Every moment is a wonderful chapter that 

I read again

I see the effort and I still feel the pain.

We have travelled through happiness 

We went through tears

But we kept going

Finding each other close and near.

It looks just like yesterday

When you held my hand

And promised to stay.

The journey is long

There is still a lot of time

But we will move ahead together

Adding a sparkle ready to shine.
