Life Dear Life
Life Dear Life
Life has a way,
Of reminding us it reigns supreme,
Through the bulges on the head
Or just by keeping us stalled in the queue.
When I was in my rebellious years
I thought my heart ruled my world,
And my will forged it into concrete,
Placing each planned brick at its place,
Venturing on my own.
But life,
Though not a vengeful master,
Certainly is ruthless teacher at it's core.
You either instinctly know the rules of the game,
Or, you learn through life's abominal force.
I'm still hopeful
Despite the bruises life has inflicted on my soul,
But I can no longer boast
I know all about this life anymore.
Earlier, I'd say I get whatever I want,
Now, life will teach me
Love, happiness and success
Onto whichever path it makes me go.
You might think
Life has beaten me down into pessimism,
But all it did was cajole me into submission.
For after years of rebellion,
I finally understand,
" Life has and will reign supreme."
There are thousand countless life governs,
You are but one of the many under it's force;
So, you sit tight,
Hold your ground, learn and preserve;
Until life chances a look upon you
And decides it's your time to glow.
