Layers

You smashed it and you put it again.

You put it and you rub it off again.

Looking in the mirror,

You see all the layers.

Putting off one by one, trying to find which one you really are.

I know you are trying hard but all you see in the mirror

Is the person everyone wants you to be, and not the who you want to be.

That's where you're loosing.

Looking in the mirror

You see all the layers,

You see yourself yet you fail to recognise who you are.

Cause you are not, what you wanna be.

Your thoughts hid beneath the layers and you are lost.

It's the thoughts inside you, your body, your soul.

That gives you layers of beauty.

It's the thoughts you live upto,

It's the thoughts you carry into your bones that make you strong.

It's the thoughts in your head that reflects you.

Looking in the mirror,

You see everything except you.

Cause your thoughts are lost somewhere in between the layers.

And all you see in the mirror is what everybody wants you to be.

Replace, remove, repair your layers with the thoughts you wanna live with.

And you will see in the mirror who you "really" are.

Then you won't smash or rub it off again and again.

Your layers aren't heavy now,

You are at ease.

Stop carrying the weights of the layers that put you down.

Start carrying the weights of the layers that lift you up.

Just like your beautiful thoughts.
