As I open my balcony door 

A sweet fragrance engulfs my room 

The afternoon heat is agonizing 

Yet the sweet fragrance hasn't left 

As stars crowd the night sky 

Here I find tiny white flower buds crowding a plant 

Some flowered and some yet to 

This is the plant gifted to me 

The sweet aromatic Jasmine plant
