Jack Or Hijack

Ordinary life has become a daily ordeal

In life when you wanted to soar, it had turned sour 

You are left with no words, you feel it is not right

You write and vent your woes, then wonder where it all went?

In peeling the jackfruit, you realise what life is all about

A great many obstacles before you get to the fruit

Fruit may be small or big, but deeper into it you dig 

At least you become the jack, the fruit you can have, don't let yourself be hijacked.

Watch each moment go, when did you laugh long ago?

Forgotten to laugh, cause life became rough

You see the drizzle outside, fire fizzled out inside

Hear the sound of the rain, remember the joyous ride on the train.

Train of thought takes you down the memory lane

Life was merry full, there wasn't any pain 

Now it is the season for old age, pain all round

In one determined effort you take up the sword, the pain you did slay.
