It feels so light

When I shook off

And let go of things

I was holding so tight

Sand falling down

And the touch of air

In palm and fingers

Open so wide

Looking around

Where things are bright

Losing the focus

From darkness and night

Stepping out

Of the storm so wild

Watching it from distance

With peace and pride

I never knew it was so simple

Though it took quite some time

I never had a hope

That I could survive

It feels like a feather

Floating in air up so high

Heart filled with joy
