Intangible
Intangible
It's raining softly,
the uneven pitter patter of the raindrops harps melodies against stone
Just like how I feel.
My heart batters a crescendo in my chest
And that flame of content flares.....
Just for a fleeting second in time
Tethering myself to snapping ropes of woven lies and truths
Living the same fervor over and over
Pulling back the shades to gaze upon
Three more layers of muslin cloth
But the stark, outlined colors that gleam.
Like wicked lures of illusions
Aren't those of hope, love, laughter at all.
We live by our rules.
Consider the world as it is.
No less and no more
And I shake my head at our foolishness.
At our boundaries and termed weakness
Our dos and don’ts and would’ s and won’t’ s
And the masks we put on for show.
In the society we've created
Among the people we've separated
Between the limits of our beliefs
Maybe this world isn't so bad.
Those little moments that you can snatch from Time's greedy hands are worth living for
Are worth suffering for
Whatever anyone is going through.
The clear cut, glinting diamond remembrances
Silver linings littered throughout the arcane
Find them.
Live them.
