The Power Of Water
The Power Of Water
The storm has gathered,
Listen to the rumble of the sky
The feel of the first drops
As they begin to fall
From the clouds Indra holds in the palm of his hands
And uses to wipe his tear-ridden eyes.
Her head tips up,
Cocks to the side.
Pearls cling to her lashes
As she watches the two forces collide.
Thunder beckons, booming and roaring
Its challenge across the heavens
For anyone who dares to stand in the way
The lightning cleaves the sky into two
Lighting up the dark
For but an instant.
She blinks as the rain pounds a furious song
On the tiles she stands on
They are the sky
And the power of every storm
That has ever been
And then, it's over.
It recedes as quickly as it came
The monsoon withdraws its hold
Over the land, it's claim
The clouds start to drizzle,
The sun starts to shine
And suddenly she laughs, full of joy,
As the droplets gently rain from the sky.
