How I Thought It Was
How I Thought It Was
When I stepped into this little chasm
My heart never thought it'd see pain
Other than here and there, a minor spasm
I thought it had all to gain,
But things turned my hopes to sarcasm,
Turned my happiness into strain,
Took the life out of me, my protoplasm,
Got me dead in my little brain,
Soon the true colors came flying and flying went the enthusiasm,
I was down, I was done, I was struggling in vain,
People just like guys who seem a fathom,
Who laugh around, smile and entertain,
But when they're down they're yesterday's news, to people who are scared of Phantasm,
And you try to judge? Please make the size of your common sense bigger than a grain.
