We're Better

Teens haven't seen life, or says so the boomer baby,

Well we actually haven't seen it as much, maybe, 

But how come it is, that we respect other beings, and mind our own beak,

While the generation that comments on us wants control like a freak, 

Age doesn't define experience, experience doesn't excuse nonsense, 

Age is a number, not a fence, experience should make you more logical, not dense,

Neither of those define how good a judge, a person can be,

Of right and wrong, and also, I'm sorry but I'll make this about me,

I live with people who say everyone faces life like I do,

They say I'd been wrong when I talked about depression too, 

They say they faced just as much, and went through just the same, and still never needed a Lorazepam,

To those extremely logical adults, I was 7 and am 16, you were more than thrice or twice as much, don't make me facepalm, 

"You use those buzzwords to look cool", we use them to express a noun or adjective, 

"Mood swings are just an excuse to be rude", well as if your opinions are objective,

"Your age is the problem", no, your primitive mindset is, you don't even let us have our opinion,

We like to learn and question, you refuse because of your ego, that's why you act like a minion,

Minion in terms of sense, I mean, and no I won't regret saying any of these,

"You're just a teen, you don't know what you're doing", oh please,

I don't have to learn lessons from people who made my life a life lesson,

People who say it's just pretense when their kid's in depression.
