Hostel Life

Away from home 

Out of our comfort zone, 

Is hostel 

And the hostel life. 

Missing home,

Mom's tasty food, 

And dad buying things for you. 

Everything changed. 

Eating hostel food,

And you buying everything 

For yourself. 

Became more important. 

Learning to adjust, 

Compromise, patience 

And what-not. 

Learned what life is. 

From complete strangers 

To becoming roommates 

And then a family. 

They became our lifelines. 

Shared laughter, joy,

Fun, fights, and tears. 

Created a whole bunch of memories 

To take back home, 

For a lifetime.
