Honey

Honey

1 min
294

When the crickets creak

And the room doesn't smell of you,

Honey, where are you?

When the breeze carries cold emotions

And the heart is heavy,

Honey, where are you?

When the chill knocks my bones

And the hopeless longing starts for you,

Honey, where are you?

The pen no longer trusts me,

They say, 'It's mightier than a sword'.

How do I picture you when I do not even know you?

But Honey it seems you are destined to me and I am to you.

After all the battles I've fought and lost,

After all the happy endings you thought you'd have,

Two half-empty hearts finding their way toward each other

Hopefully, it will be sooner

So the soul doesn't whine

For the broken vows of old lovers...

And heals as the man nears.

Two souls made for each other,

Quenching the thirst forever,

Honey, are you near?
