Heart to the Dagger
Heart to the Dagger
From
Talking to,
Trusting to,
Leaning onto,
Caring to,
Loving to,
Promising to,
All the while the cold heart, mended at last.
But
Where did the table turn?
And all of the hope burn?
Tangled bodies and twisted brain!
Smiles to curse!
Each step was to be walked together!
Now how are we bound together?
Each word to be true forever!
One untrue changed it forever
Trust?
To trust requires a strong heart.
Not a fragile one!
Hours of talks, talks of wisdom!
Care? It was there. Wasn’t it?
It is!...?
Unsure of the wretched thing called Love!
Ah! The cruel misery the woman kind is doomed of!
Fresh flowers to stinking words!
Mended heart shattered again,
Yet again!
Or is it me?
The melancholy filled one?
Unsure of the future,
Unsure of the words to write this one down.
It is me!
Then a dagger was put to the heart and this time the heart was dragged to the dagger!
