Hide And Seek

A smile is what you see, the sadness is what I hide.

I wish I could flee, into the sky that is so wide.

My heart won't close the doors to stop the pain.

And my screams won't cross the walls of my brain.

Though I've tried to confide in myself,

Having no one to talk to, sometimes, makes me want to jump off a train.

Perfection is what you see, the mistakes are what I hide.

I am done with this life of sorrow, of trying to pretend.

However beautiful it may be, it has now started to descend.

If there was any opportunity to grab,

I would have given everything, just for my life to extend.
