Heal the World...

Covid is already playing havoc, there are more tragic stories on top.

Here I see a celebrity flaunting a million-dollar handbag, there I see a child crying for a morsel of bread.

I shudder at such contrasts, wonder has the world gone to dogs!

What's with the billionaires scrambling for the flight of fantasy to space, just for a few moments of weightlessness.

When will we overcome this new bug called consumerism? Are we going to destroy the resources just to satisfy our spree of consumption?

Let's vow to feed the hungry soul, let's make sustainability our only goal. 

Let's put an end to this mindless wasteful spending, rather divert the resources towards the needy and the street urchins.

I hope the young and old, would resolve to stop this culture of use and throw, let's go back to our ancient ways where we would reuse and recycle on the go.

Let's pledge to heal the world, after all, we owe it to our Mother Earth!
