Green eyes

she read the text 

over and over again 

Her hair fell on her eyes 

as she smiled, over and over again 

for the first time 

she was to meet 

the guy who had 

stolen her heart, over text 

the sky was turning

in the shades of pink 

just when she was to leave for the airport,

dreaming about him 

then her heart leaped with sudden joy 

as she opened the front door 

to see none other than 

the green eyes staring at her 

speechless she was 

her love standing before her

speechless to ask 

how he'd flown till her door

but before she could 

say another word, her heart raced 

as his hands held her waist 

and they were kissing

he was in tears 

having her after waiting 

for all those infinite years 

under the pink sky as she pulled him closer 

time stopped and so did they

she was a moment away from him

their breaths mingling 

in the silence unexplained 

they were lost

in the depth of each other's eyes 

a sea of words 

that went without saying
