Graveyard Of The Unburieds
Graveyard Of The Unburieds
The black canvas of the inky sky,
Is filled with flashes of radiance.
The loud roar of thunder
Startled and awakened the dead me.
The numbness I felt, just to realize
I am lying amidst the corpses.
With trembling bleeding hands I supported my wounded shoulder.
Wiping away the raindrops that trickled down my bleeding face,
I waddled.
All I see is a city turned into the graveyard of unburied, the blossom of life just faded.
The peace which once was the fragranc
e is overpowered
By the sickening odor of rotting pieces of meat.
There, I see a child weeping beside his dead mother,
Trying to wake her up in haste from the deathbed, all in vain,
His tears imbibed the melancholy and traces of terror,
Why didn't I also die with my mother
Said he was enough to remind me of my duties.
Dusting off my green camouflage uniform, tightened my wounded shoulder,
I held the child close to my heart
And to rescue others I walked on the path.
