Gift Of God

Dear parents- I’m a gift of God,

I'm not a burden on you,

I came in this world to shower with

Joy and happiness to you.

Just look at me and try to hear,

What I’m saying to you,

O my mother pick me up,

I want to be close to you.

When you look at me, I flash a smile;

Feeling safe and secured with you.

Please don’t leave me in the hands of stranger,

I want to be cuddled by you.

O my mother and dear father,

You are universe to me.

Please don’t shower me with so many toys,

Give warmth and hugs to me.

I know you are educated, I know your ambitions;

You need not prove yourself.

Mother please slow down and don’t have frowns,

I bet you wouldn't regret.

Stay with me and play with me,

Enjoy each moment of my childhood,

I’m your soft doll with toothless smile,

Mom be proud of womanhood.
