FUN IN THE SUN

Summer is the time to soak in the sun,

Play games all day,

Lounge besides the bay,

Have a lot of fun!

Friends and family gather together,

And joyful children move around,

Laughter and conversations abound,

When they share some special moments with each other,

We quickly lap up the ice-cream,

As we watch it melting,

I keep on, profusely sweating,

Wondering if, it is a wonderful dream,

Flowers were blooming,

Butterflies drinking their nectar,

Nature in all its splendor,

I stood awestruck, while in the background a cardinal was crooning.
