Gone are the days,

When we would relive old memories,

Over a cup of coffee,

Now we get a glimpse of friends,

Only on Facebook and Instagram.

Gone are the days,

When we would speak for hours on the phone,

Laugh and giggle at silly jokes,

Now, we rely on Whatsapp,

In order to know each others’ status.

Gone are the days,

When a friend offered a shoulder to lean on,

A feeling of comfort would spawn,

Now we satisfy ourselves,

With the numerous likes and followers on social media.
