Envy
Envy
Twin sisters lived in a far off land,
One tall, fair and beautiful,
The other short, petite and confident,
On their eighteenth birthday bash,
Both were presented with a bowl of abundance,
Elder sister’s bowl was full,
Brimming with precious gemstones,
Yet she greedily gazed at,
Her sister’s bowl which was half empty,
Aspiring to possess the entire treasure,
Discontent stole away the moment’s pleasure
Avarice made her fluster,
The beauty lost all her luster.
