Smile

Amidst this busy tussle of life,

Where we're working monotonously like bees,

Toiling frenetically into drudgery,

Having not a moment to freeze!

Not a moment to redeem our long expropriated smile,

Which is caged spuriously into photographs,

Underneath stress making it fragile,

Most people are in search for a good hellacious reason, 

A reason to miraculously free their detained smile from the prison,

But to them I propose a simple question today,

Give it a quick thought in your very own way!

Doesn't the petrichor in the monsoon tickle your plump lips to smile?

Isn't the garden of lilies worth smiling all this while?

Doesn't your panache you see in the mirror bubble your face to approve?

Doesn't the wind gushing and ruffling your hair make your face muscles move?

Why is the majestic music of chirping unnoticeably trivial?

Isn't a cup of hot tea or coffee enough to make you jovial?

Smiling isn't perilous,

But that expression is indeed mellifluous!

Smiling is the medicine to mitigate all your stress and worry,

You can't afford missing it even if you're in a hurry,

Wear your smile and carry it elegantly,

For Smile begets Smile and that too instantly!

When you find no other lamp of inspiration,

Just look into the sky!

Those smiling stars are greeting you,

Why don't you return your alluring winsome Smile!
