For centuries people have played with me,

Or vice versa is true maybe,

For ages buffoons have put me in trash,

And so I retaliated, forcing their future to crash,

Oh my! Please don't get me wrong!

Amongst the cruel fellows, I don't belong,

For where I've witnessed dedication in sweat,

Even my eyes dripped and for hours were wet,

For such hearts I slaughtered against destiny,

And success deluged into pockets who only had a penny,

I'm centuries old yet born today,

Respected by few in green and grey,

I'm the music from your clock,

I'm here to rock,

I was, I am and will remain,

Immortal, innocent and always first choice to blame,
