Don't Leave Me
Don't Leave Me
'Blessed with a baby plant', exclaimed mother-earth
Modest contentment, scattered all over her face
Her eyes held the gratifying times
The time when she will feed the newborn plant
Clasp her baby firmly
Nutrify him, pervade much love and;
Make her baby sturdy
She thought and thought:
Assured to raise a heart,
A heart- merciful and charming to mankind
Was lost as she weaved and weaved
But then, she was struck by a thought
Desired a promise from her baby
A promise that he will not leave
like the youths on Earth do to their parents,
When she becomes aged
To protect her from wind and water
which are her major enemies.
Absorbed in her dreams, she wished
that she should never be left alone; never left be alone.
