From Dusk Till Dawn

From Dusk Till Dawn

The small little lampost standing near the street,

Defeating the dusk and winning the night,

The calm distant moon thinks on its own,

He fails to challenge the lights of the town;

'Lucky dear Sun, he won the battle,

The city needs him for the daily hustle and bustle,

I have lost my pot of gold,

The small little moons are shining everywhere

I am so useless, I am too old'

A passenger just alighted from the local train,

Heading all alone in the dark towards his den

Away from the city in the small village road,

Looked towards the sky with eyes full of hope!

The moon steered through the clouds,

The stars started cheering and twinkling together,

The Royal moon smiled, the fear was gone,

The night he owned from dusk till dawn.
