The Last Bench
The Last Bench
That last bench still waits for me,
Six years is a long time,
People came, people left,
As they say,
Time and Tide really never cared,
Life kept teaching which the classroom never,
Happiness was bought,
Sorrows came for free,
I tried to climb the branches,
That last bench remained the stem of the tree,
That seat where the life was not taught,
That place was happiness was not bought,
That bench where time too waited and tide never came,
That seat which will always be a loved frame.
