Fire that burned to love
Fire that burned to love
Our connection began with a cord
But lived on by a string of an unconditional love
They severed the cord
But they could never severe the love
Despite the rainbow of chromatic emotions that they held
Your eyes always knew how to read mine
I guess you saw the reflection of your own self
Who had felt the same chaos once upon a time
Your ears always heard Whether when I cried out loud
Or when my heart screamed silently
Because you were ready to hear my voice
because our hearts had beaten together harmoniously
Memories haunt not the people, you see
So the sweet ginger aroma of your tea
Haunts the mind like a tasteful memory
And I drink an unforgettable love on these
lively lonely evenings
Like Prometheus gave flame to humanity
To survive and fight the dark wonders
We are yet again given a gift to be born
To The incandescent, fire, spirit of a mother
Your Arms like a winter woolen blanket
Wrapping me in comfort and warmth
Because the fire of your love Burned brighter than the fire itself
And it burned brighter, forth and forth.
Crackle, crackle. The fire crackled
Or was it the whispers of your love?
Though Sometimes I did wonder, were u trying to burn me or warm me?
When you’d sparked off a plethora of hurtful words
But I figured that love stood
As a middle to all vigilance and rage
And it is no easy task to enter a hood
That has no mention on education’s page
Now I sit with the Ashes of a once-great fire
Just glowing amber embers dancing in a rush
I know I shall now carry the ferocity and power
Of the fire that burned to love
